How does our health guarantee work?
I Jennifer of Forever Poodles and Honor Havanese do Honor my health guarantee which is in alignment with the state of FL lemon law for puppies. While I do everything I can by testing parents, raising them in a clean home with as little toxins as possible. They are living things and things happen. But to get refunds or other options, the laws must be followed and see below. I used to guarantee for 5 years, but now people chose to expose there pups to so many toxins, vaccines, flea meds, anxiety meds, allergy meds, lawn and house chemical sprays, cleaners, crappy food, early spay neuter, dryer sheets, plug in air fresheners, cologne, emf, and so much more, than random conditions show up due to toxic load and I can't control the pups environment to control their health. (toxins are typically the cause of auto immune issues)
ALL puppies leave my care with a current state of Fl Health certificate. It can't be issued if the puppy doesn't pass parasite exam, and any preexisting issues will be disclosed on the certificate by my veterinarian.
Once puppy is examined within the 2 businesss days of purchase, Any finding are to be reported to the breeder immediately and the buyer has options to return, exchange, or keep for expenses covered up to purchase price with proof of receipts paid.
Up to one year we guarantee anything that is found to have been congenital or genetic. Buyer can again, exchange, return for refund, or get compensated after proof of medical bills solely for this condition and only up to the price paid for the dog.

- Buyer must provide RECEIPTS and VETERINARIAN REPORTS to breeder. Breeder has the right to a second opinion. Reason for this is some test are one vets opinion of this dog at that moment. Other test like DNA etc are exact diagnoses. Breeder can take test results to a veterinarian of her choosing for second opinion, or if the test was an opinion test such as bad knees or heart murmur. Breeder has the right to approve the second opinion veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis or request additional testing to confirm it.
- My veterinarian says might need surgery for this condition in the future so refund my money now. (you must have proof (second opinion as well) and receipts of the treatment that has been completed to be compensated up to the the purchase price.
- My dog has Environmental Allergies, I would like a refund. (Allergies are not a genetic condition, they are a toxic load issue. More shots, poor food, emf, yard and bug sprays, and other things outside of breeders control that puppy is exposed to need to be addresses and then detox from those). This is a root cause issue, so doing toxin testing can find the sources in the environment for you to eliminate and then supplements to remove the toxins from the puppy to bring back the strong immunity and not have to suffer or suppress immune system for life with allergy drugs. Click here for a link to get the TOXIN test done.
- I want a refund cause this dog don't behave and I need hire trainer.. Puppies don't come trained, and whatever training they had can come undone with new pack( family) isn't setting same boundaries he/she had here. Such as separation anxiety can show up in only 24 hrs if proper boundaries are not set up. This is the responsibility of the buyer to get trained in how to train their puppy correctly. (sidenote TOXINS, EMF, MRNA shots, etc can affect behavior in neg ways with fear, anxiety, aggression)
- My veterinarian and I suspected an issue an ran these test, please pay me back I'm sorry but if you run random test on your dog and comes back with NORMAL/CLEAR/HEALTHY results, and the puppy is deemed to have no life altering issues, then the breeder has no responsibility to cover those test. ( If it did show a diagnosis that does adversely affect the pups health,. Then buyer has rights to the options available to return, retain for expenses covered up to price, or replace, after breeder has been given the right to second opinion)
- I want half price or full price back for future bills. You do not get to dictate a refund. Must have test to prove the condition is life altering and genetic (and a second veterinarian as well) and will need treatment. And then once receipts are submitted refund of approaite expenses will be reimbursed up to price.
- My dog tore his ACL, I need you to cover the bill. I'm sorry, but a TEAR is an injury and breeders can't be held responsible for something a puppy does outside their care that requires treatment/surgery.
- Contact me for refund well beyond the time limit of the contract. Even years later. These things need to be brought to my attentions right away, allow for second opinion, and complete the process correctly in timely manner.
- My dog has ear infection. If this was within the 2 business day exam, we will cover additional expense to treat it. If treatment fails, we do NOT cover to retreat again and again as we can't control how the meds were given or if the veterinarian prescribed the correct one.(this goes for parasites too) If this is 4 months later, we will not cover it. We can't guarantee ear infections and parasites for a year. As can not we guarantee them after puppy has been outside of our environment.
- My dog has extra baby teeth, bite went off, crooked tooth, etc. These are cosmetic things and any corrective elective procedures buyer chooses to do are not covered under any guarantee. If the puppy had a known misalignment of teeth prior to sale such as overbite, this is typical disclosed, discounted, and buyer accepts it as preexisting condition. But when adult teeth aren't perfect, it is not breeders responbity to reimburse elective surgeries on them. (If puppy was purchased for show/breed, it can be returned or exchanged for a puppy that can compete in show and breed upon proof of the incorrect teeth placements)
- My dog has a genetic defect, but my veterinarian gave the Lepto vaccine. The reason we void some conditions after a Lepto vaccine has been administered is due to the risk of reactions this vaccine causes on a dogs health. We have seen puppies suffer with issues shortly after giving the vaccine, while others end up with liver, kidney, or heart damange seen days, weeks, or months later. HAVANESEE CLUB OF AMERICA does not recommend this vaccine, click for link. then click on vaccines. Click here to read more about Lepto shots in dogs.
- I need refund cause veterinarian can't find his testicles. If this was a known issue prior to sale, your puppy is typically slightly discounted and you accepted the preexisting condition. If found later that one pulled up, it is not considered life altering condition and is treated with a typical neuter. So we do not pay for the cost of his neutering. But if your veterinarian needs to charge an extra fee to reach the testicles, then please submit the receipt to us to adjust for that fee ( and sometimes it reappears again as they growing).
